He is also a renowned documentary filmmaker, having worked on projects such as "Gatsby in Motion" (2024), "The Rocking Baritone" (2022), and "Ballerina" (2006), which had a theatrical release and was broadcast on Netflix and TV5. His work often explores themes of art, music, and culture, with films aired on prestigious international broadcasters such as Arte, France 3, and Sky Arts.
As a producer, Normand founded his own production company, "Les Films du Jour Prochain," through which he develops and produces various film projects. He has also worked as a second unit director, cinematographer, and executive producer on both documentary and fiction films.
Beyond the film industry, Bertrand Normand has a background in acting and theater, having studied at Studio Jack Garfein, where he also worked as a teaching assistant. He is fluent in French, English, and Russian, with a strong command of German.

Jonathan’s theatrical feature Minotaur opened in LA and NY to critical acclaim, and RUPERT'S LAND won 6 Leo Awards and 5 Genie nominations including Best Picture and Best Director. His film The Childeater received an Academy Award nomination for Best Live Action Short. Jonathan is a film instructor at Emily Carr University of Art & Design and has been involved in many of the creative cinema film workshops around the world.
